A day on horseback in Cabo de Gata
Enjoy a unique riding experience in the stunning surroundings of Cabo de Gata.
Starting from San José, the ride takes you inland to Los Escullos, where you'll have a picnic or lunch in a restaurant. The return journey takes you along the spectacular Los Piratas trail, which skirts cliffs with incomparable views.
This 6 hour ride (5-5.30 hours on horseback) combines nature, tranquillity and adventure, with horses in excellent condition and experienced guides to ensure a safe and memorable experience.
Ideal for experienced riders who are comfortable in the three outdoor paces.
Genoveses
Experience the Cabo de Gata Natural Park in a very special way, on horseback.
During this 2h45 ride, which will take you from San José to the beach of Genoveses, you will enjoy the incredible landscapes of the Natural Reserve of Cabo de Gata.
You will discover the film sets of the mythical film "Lawrence of Arabia" and you will ride along the beach of Genoveses.
You can walk, trot or gallop accompanied by an expert guide. Except in the case of exclusive groups, only experienced riders who are familiar with the 3 outdoor paces can take part.
Mónsul
An unforgettable ride to enjoy the extraordinary landscape of Cabo de Gata and our horses.
From San José to the iconic Playa de Mónsul, chosen by Steven Spielberg to film 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' with Harrison Ford and Sean Connery.
The ride lasts approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes and is done at a walk, trot and canter with the assistance of an experienced guide. Except for private groups, only experienced riders who are comfortable in all three paces can take part.
El Playazo
(July & August)
Discover the special landscapes of the Natural Park on horseback on this 1 hour and 45 minute ride that descends to the valley of Rodalquilar and ends at one of the most famous unspoilt beaches of Cabo de Gata, with spectacular views of the castle of San Ramón.
Except in the case of private groups, where the pace is adapted to the level of experience of the participants, this ride takes place at a slow pace on easy paths, with the assistance of an expert guide. Both experienced and inexperienced riders can participate.
Available in July and August, departing from our stables in Rodalquilar.
El campillo de Rodalquilar
(July & August)
Ride part of the enchanting Rodalquilar Valley on a trusty horse with an expert guide on a leisurely ride suitable for all levels of experience.
Ideal for those wishing to start riding outdoors, this 1 hour and 15 minute ride will take you through the scents of thyme and rosemary, with views of the old mines and the sea.
In the moonlight
(July & August)
A magical moonlight ride along the spectacular beaches of Cabo de Gata, from San José to Genoveses beach.
Available exclusively in July and August, this 2 hour 45 minute ride combines walking, trotting and, if the moonlight and the experience allows, galloping.
The start time varies according to the phases of the moon, guaranteeing a unique atmosphere and pleasant temperatures.
